Dear club members,

The registrations for the 2020 ESTEC Golf Club Matchplay knockout tournament are now open in Proware. Sign up will close on Thursday 27th of February at midnight. The draw will be done during the March Monthly prize giving.

The matches are played with handicap compensation, with a maximum difference of 18 shots (so maximum one shot given on every hole).

The schedule is as follow:

Sun 31st May – Completion of round of 32
Sun 21st June – Completion of round of 16
Sun 26th July – Completion of quarter finals
Sun 20th Sep – Completion of semifinals
Sun 18th Oct – Completion of final

Dear Club Members,

The Pea Soup competition will take place on Sunday February 16th 2019. Sign up on Proware is open.

The format is stroke play with handicap compensation. Shotgun start at noon, so be on site around 11:30 am.

Participation fee is 5 Euros, to be paid on site.

Pea Soup will be served in Escape, after the competition.

The final of the 2019 EGC Matchplay tournament has been played between Joe Pereira and Paul McManamon.

Paul McManamon has prevailed 2 and one, he’s the new matchplay champion! Congrats Paul!!!

Now in his 10th year as organizer of the ‘monthlies ‘ Reno passed a remarkable milestone on Sunday with his 100th prize giving. We learned of this through a ‘reliable source’ and were able to set up a little presentation to commemorate this century and to thank him for his unfailing dedication and support to our club in this role.

Congratulations Reno. It’s unlikely this record will be matched any time soon and thank you too Marga!
