The Pea Soup Competition has been played last Sunday under the best weather we could hope for. Low winds, clear blue sky, and a temperature that was flirting with 10ºC. Only 20 participants took advantage of those perfect playing conditions.
The scores were pretty good, and our former chairman Kjeld Hjortnaes prevailed by posting a nice 58 net. 2nd with 59 and the best back nine Ben Smeltink. Third with 59 and slightly worse back nine Ton Remmen.

The registrations for the 2021 ESTEC Golf Club Matchplay knockout tournament are now open in Challonge.com.

Sign up will be closed on Sunday 7 March 17:00, as the bracket is drawn.
The matches are played with handicap compensation, with a maximum difference of 18 shots (so maximum one shot given on every hole).
Since there will probably still be some Covid restrictions, the following days in the weekend will be reserved for Matchplay players:
Sun 28 March
Sun 25 April
Sun 9 May (ideally round of 32 should be done)
Sun 13 June (ideally round of 16 will completed at that point)
July (tbd if needed)
August (tbd if needed)
Please make good use of these reserved days. Reservation in Proware will be open once the bracket is drawn.

Now that play is allowed again on the golf course, it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the Presentation Tournament on March 14th 2021.
The Presentation Tournament format is played “against Par” with handicap adjustment, which is a modified stableford competition.
It is like a matchplay against the course. if you score lower than net par, you win the hole and you get a point. if you score net par, you half the hole and get no point. If you score more than net par, you lose the hole and get -1. The winner is the one with the most positive value.
Unfortunately this year there will be no presentation dinner. However we will have all the trophies on display in the vitrine in the hut, with a list of all of last years results for everyone to see.
