Submission of Qualifying Score Cards of Rounds Played Outside ESTEC

Following examination of the rules contained in the EGA handbook (http://www.ega-golf.ch/030000/documents/ega-hcp-system2012-2015-final.pdf) the following provides guidance for the submission of Qualifying Score Cards completed in other courses that the ESTEC Golf Club course. For easy reference, the relevant sections of the EGA handbook are included.

A) COURSES IN THE NETHERLANDS

a) Score Cards completed during competition

i) The competition shall be organized by an affiliated club to NGF [sect 3.6.1.d].

b) Score Cards completed outside competitions:

i) The round shall be played in a affiliated club to NGF.

ii) For the Score Card to be considered qualifying it shall comply with the rules of Extra Day Score (EDS) cards, [sect. 3.8]. In particular, the round shall be registered in advance (sect 3.8.5). For this purpose, an e-mail shall be send before the round to the attention of the ESTEC handicap secretary providing the same information as required in the ESTEC registry of qualifying cards (date, time, marker,number of holes,..)

B) COURSES ABROAD:

a) Score Cards completed during competitions

The competion shall be organized by a club of a national association affiliated to the EGA.

The player shall provide the following information [sect 4.3]:

i) Confirmation that the club is affiliated to a EGA national association.
ii) Evidence that it was a qualifying score (e.g. copy of Conditions of Competition or a list of offiicial scores.
iii) The Score Card
iv) CBA of the competition round, if applicable

b) Score Cards completed outside competitions:

The round shall be played in a club of a national association affiliated to the EGA.

The player shall provide the following information:

i) Confirmation that the club is affiliated to a EGA national association.
ii) For the Score Card to be considered qualifying it shall comply with the rules of Extra Day Score (EDS) cards, [sect. 3.8]. In particular, the round shall be registered in advance (sect 3.8.5). For this purpose, an e-mail shall be send before the round to the attention of the ESTEC handicap secretary providing the same information as required in the ESTEC registry of qualifying cards (date, time, marker,number of holes,..)
iii) The Score Card.

Note1: As for every Score Card, the card shall contain all the required information paying attention in particular to indicate the name and license number of the Marker.

Note2: Returned cards not complying with the above guildelines or incomplete cards in general, may be considered a qualifying NR (no return), leading to an increase of the handicap by 0.1 or 0.2 depending on the players Exact Handicap.

Completion of Score Card

Dear Colleagues,

Please be so kind to check that all the details of the cards are duly complete and clearly legible before retruning a Score Card, i.e:

– Name of Player and NGF number
– Name of Marker and NGF number
– Date
– Time
– Tees used
– Signature of Player
– Signature of Marker

and last but not least for Qualifying cards,

– the number of the card as obtained from the registry

In the registry you should also indicate in advance whether the Q-card is intended to be 9-holes or 18-holes.

Cards not complying with these requirements will not be accepted.
