Sunday 12 May 2024: CRT-3 Betterball, Report and Results
25 players enjoyed the beautiful weather after there were 3 last minute cancellations. Unfortunately the cancellations were all from the Mulligans leaving them with just 3 players and poor Anneke played as a single. Also there were an odd number of flights and Wil and Margaret started on hole 2 with a gap ahead of them until hole 5.
The golf course was in very good condition but the rough (not part of the golf course) was rather long and was best avoided but unfortunately it did consume a few balls. The greens were particularly faster than the previous round and at a good pace compared to some outside courses.
The conditions were good and resulted in lots of pars and a few birdies. The best pair were Ton and Ben with a score of 46. Being true winners they bought a round of drinks in Escape. In second place were Wil and Margaret with 43 followed by three flights of 42.
The overall leaderboard changed a bit and the Babes and Boys lead over Friday’s Men was reduced to 9 points.

Chaturvedi Veterans Trophy
The 12th Chaturvedi Veterans Tournament will be held at ESTEC over two days on Tuesday 11 and Thursday 13 June, with a shotgun start on both days at 14:00.
To be eligible for the competition, players must have been born in 1964 or earlier. Veterans’ spouses/partners, even if not of qualifying age, are also invited to participate.
The format, as usual, will be medal stroke play (gross score – playing handicap) over 2 x 18 holes. For the competition, the maximum playing handicap is off 36.0.
This year the tournament dinner (two courses, cost € 39.50 p.p.) will be at the Pitch Restaurant in the Golf Centrum Noordwijk on Friday 14 June with aperitifs at 18:30. Besides players and spouses/partners, other club members of ‘Chaturvedi eligible age’ are welcome to join.
The menu choices will be made available closer to the date.
Registration will be open soon on Proware and will close at 18:00 on Sunday 9 June.
Please register for both days separately and indicate if you will join the dinner by making a note under ‘Opmerking’.
